Silsden Community Library

Update from the Library – 18th October 2018

Silsden Community Library, after several months of training and preparation, welcomed its first readers on June 5th 2017.

Thanks to a sixty-strong band of enthusiastic local volunteers, our library has been saved for the town, despite austerity cuts which threatened its existence. Staffing is now provided by volunteer rota, although Bradford Council continues to supply books, basic overheads and training. A grand opening day was held on June 24th.

Those keen to keep up with all our news will find the Community Library on Facebook and on Twitter.

Opening hours are:

Monday 10am to 4pm

Tuesday 10am to 6pm (note the longer hours)

Wednesday  Closed

Thursday 10am to 4pm

Friday 10am to 4pm

Saturday 9.30am to 1pm

Sunday  Closed

New members are always welcome: just call in with some basic ID and proof of address.

The Library team needs funds to maintain and develop our premises and services. If you wish to support us, you can donate on our JustGiving page (kindly created by Silsden Buzz):
